FOPE–CIPI Interactive Session with CDSCO Held at The Ashok, New Delhi
The Federation of Pharma Entrepreneurs (FOPE) and the Confederation of Indian Pharmaceutical Industry (CIPI) jointly organized an Interactive Session with the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) on 8th August 2025 at The Ashok Hotel, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.
The event, attended by 235 participants from across India, including representatives from North India, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Kerala, West Bengal, Odisha, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan, witnessed an inclusive pan-India presence of FOPE and CIPI members, non-members, allied associations, and industry colleagues.
Dr. Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi, Drug Controller General of India (DCGI), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, accompanied by senior CDSCO officials – Dr. Chandrasekar Ranga, Dr. A.K. Pradhan, Dr. Ajay Sachan, Mr. Arvind Kukrety, Mr. Jayant Gangakhedkar, and Shri Vijay Chandankar.
The session began with a warm welcome, bouquet presentation, lamp lighting, and invocation, followed by addresses from FOPE and CIPI leadership. The highlight of the event was the interactive Q&A session, where participants raised key issues relating to exports, GMP compliance, NSQ and CAPA, nutraceutical regulations, API/excipient standards, and regulatory overlaps.
Dr. Raghuvanshi delivered a candid and impactful address, emphasizing the critical role of mindset transformation, regulatory trust, and quality commitment in safeguarding public health and strengthening India’s position as the pharmacy of the world.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks and networking dinner, marking the event as a significant milestone in fostering regulator–industry partnership through open dialogue, transparency, and collaboration.
